    Vidhi Goenka

    Registered Psychotherapist - Qualifying
Vidhi’s experience as a therapist spans many years, with extensive work in India as well as within private practices in Toronto. She works with adolescents and adults experiencing a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, sleep problems, life changes and transitions, pain management, and academic/work-related stress. She practices from a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive approach and integrates a variety of evidence-based modalities to best suit her client’s needs. Vidhi’s therapeutic orientation is grounded in Cognitive-Behavioural techniques, with an incorporation of strategies derived from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Additionally, Vidhi incorporates mindfulness and somatic tools, recognizing the crucial mind-body connection and the role our bodies play in holding emotions. Vidhi views the therapeutic relationship as integral to successful psychotherapy, adopting a genuine, empathetic, and non-judgmental style with her clients. She aims to create a space where clients can explore at their own pace, whether that’s working through emotions, navigating transitions, or understanding how past experiences might be showing up in present life. She strives to deeply attune to her client’s experiences, providing a sense of safety that facilitates emotional exploration. Please note that our associates work with many presenting issues, some of which are not listed in this biography. Please speak with our intake team at 416-363-4228 for more information.
