    Registered Social Worker
    Nicole Bangloy is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Nicole completed her Master of Social Work in the Health and Mental Health specialization at the University of Toronto and her Bachelor of Social Work (with Distinction) at the University of Victoria. Nicole specializes in supporting adults that are struggling with medical trauma, the mental health impacts of an accident or injury, navigating living with chronic pain, struggling with managing a chronic illness, suffering from anxiety and depression, or experiencing caregiver burnout by supporting a loved one with health issues. Nicole has been a Registered Social Worker since 2013 and has extensive health care experience. Nicole completed her graduate internship at the Transplant and Regenerative Medicine Centre with The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) and has also been on staff in BC with Fraser Health from 2014 to 2021. Nicole has worked in both acute and community settings, including the Emergency Department, the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Renal/Nephrology, Oncology, Palliative Care, Sexual Health, HIV/AIDS and in Clinical Supervision. Nicole uses an array of therapeutic approaches to support individuals as they move through the inevitable grief, loss, and processing of trauma, so they can move towards healing and recovery. The approaches she utilizes include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Grief and Loss, Strength and Resiliency and Anti-Oppressive approaches.
