I am a registered Clinical Forensic Social worker with 6+ years of solid experience in a variety of community and institutional based settings providing clinical counselling and psychosocial support for a diverse range of clients with a variety of trauma, mood, anxiety, stress related concerns, as well as insomnia, addictions and emotional regulation difficulties. I completed my Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto, specializing in social justice and community development. I’m also a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). Areas of specialty include working with adults experiencing addiction/concurrent disorders, adjustment and personality disorders (BPD), criminal justice involvement, as well as neurocognitive disabilities such as Autism, Learning Disabilities and ADHD. My treatment is strength-based, tailored to individual client needs. I provide individual and group counselling using a multi-modal therapeutic approach that incorporates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Psychodynamic, IFS, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative, Motivational Interviewing (MI), court-approved Anger Management Programming and Seeking Safety group facilitation skills. Working from an anti-oppressive, anti-black racism, anti-colonialism, culturally sensitive, harm reduction and trauma-informed practice framework, I come to my practice with compassion and empathy. I believe everyone is the expert in their own life and focus on health and wellness working from a client-centred approach that is free from judgement.
