Kathleen Ruth McLean is a Registered Psychotherapist in the province of Ontario. She graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor’s Degree and an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Kathleen continued with post baccalaureate studies focusing on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Mindfulness practice & instruction, dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), behavioural activation (BA), specializing in parenting strategies and trained in observational skills, brief intervention as well as longer term intervention therapy. Kathleen is also a trained psychometrist.
Kathleen has extensive experience working with clients in-person, telephone, video and online counselling.
Kathleen has been a therapist for over 20 years with an emphasis working with individuals suffering with symptoms of depression, anxiety, OCD, panic, stress disorders, chronic illness concerns. Kathleen has provided counselling and functional assistance to individuals rehabilitating back to the work environment and gaining function in their personal lives.
Kathleen has worked with Family and Children’s services, with education providers and researchers across Canada.
Kathleen has been a volunteer for the Canadian Cancer society and the Niagara Crisis Centre.
