Ms. Desai’s areas of focus include working with children/adolescents experiencing anxiety, divorce/separation, loss, trauma, anger, school difficulties, and poor self-esteem. She also provides support to parents/caregivers looking to strengthen parenting practices, foster healthy coping skills, and grow relationships.
Ms. Desai received certification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University and certification in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Guelph. In addition, she has done extensive training in Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Anxiety in Children and Adolescents.
Ms. Desai led the child therapy program at Regesh Family and Child Services.
