    Dr. Vinita Puri, Doctorate (Honoris Causa) I/O Psych, MSW, AccFM

    Registered Social Worker – Senior
    Dr. Vinita Puri is a Registered Social Worker, Mediator, Coach, and Consultant, with expertise in conflict resolution; intergenerational and cross-cultural conflict; grief/loss and building resiliency. Her clinical specializations include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Narrative Therapy (NT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) with a focus on Family Mediation and Culturally-Adapted processes. Additionally, Dr. Puri is skilled in facilitating workshops and training sessions that integrate clinical psychotherapy with skill building. She is passionate about designing and delivering customized anti-oppressive, strengths based educational training related to health and wellness. Dr. Puri holds an Honorary Doctorate (Honoria Causa) in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, a Master’s in Criminological Research, a Master’s in Social Work, and a Specialized Honours B.A. in Sociology. At the present time, she is also completing her Ph.D. in Psychology, with a dissertation focus on Therapeutic Jurisprudence (TJ) and Judicial Sentencing in cases involving mentally ill offenders.
