Psychologist
Dr. Juliana Tobon received her PhD from the University of Western Ontario and completed her predoctoral training at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in the Child, Youth, and Family Program, working with children with mood, anxiety and behavioural difficulties, and with young adults with addiction and concurrent disorders. She has worked in schools, hospitals, day treatment and residential programs, and community children’s mental health centres. Her recent research has examined the effects of Dialectical Behaviour Skills training for young adults in a community and university setting. Dr. Tobon has worked as a Psychologist at St. Michael’s Hospital’s Academic Family Health Team, where she worked with patients across the lifespan and at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton's Youth Wellness Centre, where she worked with youth ages 17 - 25. Dr. Tobon is a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario. At CBT Associates, Dr. Tobon provides assessment and treatment for children and adolescents with mood and anxiety disorders. She also provides cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for individuals with self-esteem and relationship issues, addictions and concurrent disorders, as well as other interpersonal and stress-related difficulties. She takes an empathic and client-centred approach to her practice and will ensure that each client is connected with the most appropriate, accessible, and evidence-based treatment. Dr. Tobon is credentialed as a CACBT-ACTCC Certified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. She is also registered to provide services for residents of Nunavut and the Yukon. Please note that our associates work with many presenting issues, some of which are not listed in this biography. Please speak to our intake team at 416-363-4228 for more information.
