Delphine received her M.Sc in child and adolescent mental health from the University of Leicester (United Kingdom), and has extensive additional training and many years of experience delivering cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and collaborative problem solving (CPS) Tier I and Tier II for children and adolescents in Canada. Additionally, Delphine is well versed in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and she employs a variety of strategies and modalities to create collaborative, productive and therapeutic alliances with the children and teens with whom she works. As a former child and youth counsellor in Canada, Delphine has over eight years of experience providing counselling for children, adolescents, moms, dads and caregivers in children’s mental health agencies, foster care agencies, schools, community centres and in private practice. In her role as a volunteer Crisis Line Responder for the Ottawa area, Delphine uses her suicide training, intuition and active non-judgemental listening skills to assess safety and emotional needs to provide support for callers in crisis.
Through her training in the BREM programme (Bridge to Employment and Registration in Mental Health), she is working towards registering with the CRPO (College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario). Delphine currently works under the direct supervision of a Clinical Psychologist.
