Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist | Virtual and In-Person
I am a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience providing mental health services in both private practice and public healthcare settings, including community mental health clinics and hospitals. I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW), a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from York University, Toronto Canada. I am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). I have extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and families facing a wide range of emotional, psychological, and relationship challenges. My areas of specialization include trauma and PTSD, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), social anxiety, phobias, stress management, depression, bipolar disorder, skin picking (excoriation disorder), hair pulling (trichotillomania), workplace stress, career and life transitions, family conflict, couples and relationship concerns. My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I draw from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Informed Therapy, and Couples Therapy. I tailor treatment to each client's unique needs, helping them develop practical coping skills, gain insight, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change. I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can openly explore their concerns and work toward achieving their personal, emotional, and relationship goals. Professional Philosophy Therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, compassion, and evidence-based care. Clement Ampong’s goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can openly discuss your concerns and feel supported throughout the process.
