    Arvinder Lakhi, MSW, RSW

    Registered Social Worker
    Arvinder Lakhi is a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). She holds a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto, specializing in Social Justice and Diversity, as well as, a Bachelor of Social Work degree, specializing in Child Welfare from the University of British Columbia. Arvinder is originally from British Columbia, Canada, where she began working in the anti-violence sector in various roles including Victim Services and Outreach services for people impacted by relationship and sexual violence. Arvinder has received clinical training from the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Care Centre at Women’s College Hospital, as well, as, certification as a Clinical Traumatologist with the Traumatology Institute in Toronto. She has been trained from a variety of psychotherapy modalities including Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Arvinder uses a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and client-centred practice framework and approach to therapy. At CBT Associates, Arvinder provides evidence-based therapy with clients that have experienced trauma and/or a range of mood and anxiety disorders, such as self-injury, sexual assault/abuse (childhood, adult, historical, recent), intimate partner violence, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, panic disorder, grief and loss, anger, and other emotional and psychological difficulties.
