Registered Social Worker | Virtual and In-Person
Hi, I’m Nicole (she/her), a Registered Social Worker and psychotherapist with over a decade of experience supporting individuals through life’s most challenging, uncertain, and transformative seasons. I hold a Master of Social Work (specialized in Health and Mental Health) from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Social Work (with Distinction) from the University of Victoria and am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). I know that life doesn’t always unfold the way we expect it to. Sometimes we find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in old patterns, or carrying burdens that have quietly built over time. Other times, a major life change, loss, relationship challenge, health concerns, or shift in identity can leave us questioning who we are and where to go next. Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to navigate it alone. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and deeply human. I believe meaningful change happens in relationship, in a space where you feel safe enough to show up exactly as you are, without judgment, pressure, or the need to have it all figured out. Therapy with me isn’t about being “fixed.” It’s about slowing down, making sense of your experiences, understanding the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and building the insight, skills, and confidence to move forward in a way that feels authentic to you. I bring both clinical expertise and genuine compassion into our work together. I’m not afraid of difficult conversations, complex emotions, or sitting with uncertainty. I’ll meet you where you are with curiosity, honesty, warmth, and respect, while gently challenging you when growth calls for it. My work is informed by evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), mindfulness, grief and loss work, and strengths-based, Anti-Oppressive, and culturally relevant approaches. As a Filipino-Canadian, I’m also deeply committed to Anti-Racism, and creating a space where all parts of your identity are welcomed and honoured. Some of the work we may do together includes: • Managing anxiety, stress, burnout, or overwhelm • Working through depression, grief, or loss • Navigating life transitions, identity shifts, and uncertainty • Building self-esteem, self-trust, confidence, and self-compassion • Strengthening emotional regulation and coping skills • Exploring relationship patterns and setting healthy boundaries • Processing trauma and difficult past experiences • Finding clarity, purpose, and a deeper connection to yourself Healing doesn’t always mean becoming who you were before. Sometimes it means building a new normal, becoming someone new, someone more connected, grounded, and aligned with the life you want to create. If you’re ready to get curious, do the deeper work, and create meaningful change, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
