Shankari Sharma received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Ryerson University. Though she will not be completing additional degree requirements, she has completed all the required coursework and clinical practica for a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Throughout her graduate training, Shankari provided individual and couple assessment and therapy for posttraumatic stress disorder at Ryerson University’s I.M.P.A.C.T. Lab.
She completed her Master’s level clinical practicum at St. Michael’s Hospital’s Psychology Training Clinic, where she provided assessment and treatment services to inner city adults for a wide range of psychological concerns. She also completed two PhD level clinical practica at the Eating Disorders Day Hospital at Toronto General Hospital, and the Psychological Trauma Program at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). Shankari is currently working towards registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario while providing individual and couple therapy at CBT Associates.
At CBT Associates, Shankari currently provides individual treatment for adults with posttraumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, bipolar disorders, stress and burnout, grief, and interpersonal and relationship issues. She also continuously educates herself on LGBT2Q concerns, anti-racism efforts, and immigration-related and refugee-related mental health concerns. She is dedicated to learning about the mental health needs of Toronto’s diverse communities and offering evidence-based assessment and treatment tailored to clients’ unique needs.
