McKenzie completed her Master’s Degree in Developmental Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University and her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Guelph. She is currently in the last stages of completing her PhD in school and clinical psychology at Western University in London, Ontario. McKenzie incorporates various clinical experiences into her work. She has trained in school, community, and private practice settings.
McKenzie mainly uses Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches to therapy when providing treatment with children, adolescents, and their families. McKenzie has experience in treating and assessing a variety of social-emotional challenges such as anxiety, OCD, depression, and emotion-regulation. McKenzie has experience providing ADHD testing and other psychoeducational assessments. At CBT Associates, McKenzie can work with individuals with learning challenges and social-emotional concerns using evidence-based strategies.
It is of utmost importance to McKenzie that clients are given a space that is safe, collaborative, and strengths-based.
