    Registered Psychotherapist - Qualifying
I seek to empower clients and support them in claiming their own power to grow and heal. Together we will use evidence-based and integrated therapeutic approaches to explore the causes and conditions of your struggles. Just as importantly, we will collaborate in discovering your unique sources of meaning, purpose, hope and resilience in your own journey of growth and healing. I am experienced working with issues of self-esteem and identity, personal/professional relationships, traumas and related triggers, grief and bereavement, depression and anxiety, and moral or ethical distress. I draw upon a variety of psychotherapeutic modalities to meet the unique needs of each person. These include aspects of emotions-focused and narrative therapies, cognitive-behavioural and mindfulness-based approaches, as well as family systems and psychodynamic considerations. I believe we must recognize the intersectional social and cultural factors that influence our daily lives and may impact our mental health. I also offer spiritually-integrative therapy that draws on existential and logotherapies to explore sources of identity, meaning, purpose, connection, hope, and authority in each person’s life. My intention is to be pragmatic and solution-focused whenever possible and to be focused upon empowering clients and supporting them in claiming their own power to grow and heal. Of note, I also hold a PhD in Cultural Studies and has a background in social and environmental justice advocacy. Please note that our associates work with many presenting issues, some of which are not listed in this biography. Please speak with our intake team at 416-363-4228 for more information.
