Jocelyn Nicholls holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto, with a specialization in Mental Health and Health. She is a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers with good standing, as well as a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
Jocelyn received clinical training from the East GTA Family Health Team as well as York University’s Personal Counselling Services. She draws from a variety of psychotherapy modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Jocelyn uses a strengths-based, client-centered approach to therapy, through a biopsychosocial and systems framework.
At CBT Associates, Jocelyn works with clients through BEACON and in-person services. She provides evidence-based therapy with clients that experience a range of mood and anxiety disorders (i.e. depression, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety).
