Gillian Wilson is currently completing her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Ryerson University where she previously received her Master’s degree. She has experience in evidence-based assessment and treatment in both individual and group formats for a wide range of psychological difficulties in diverse populations.
Gillian has completed clinical placements at the Anxiety Treatment and Research Clinic and the Borderline Personality Disorder Service at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton, Ontario, as well as the Psychology Training Clinic at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. She has gained further clinical experience in the Anxiety Research and Treatment Lab and the HIV Prevention Lab at Ryerson University. Gillian’s research interests center primarily on the role of interpersonal behaviours and processes (e.g., feedback seeking behaviours, fear of evaluation) in the context of anxiety and related disorders.
Gillian provides evidence-based assessment and treatment, including cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness-based therapies for various psychological problems, including but not limited to social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, specific phobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, major depressive disorder, and emotion regulation difficulties. She is committed to providing the highest standard of clinical care with the goal of helping clients learn how to effectively manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life.
