Dr. Murray received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Murray completed her internship and two-year fellowship at Mount Sinai-Icahn School of Medicine specializing in rehabilitation and neuropsychology. Many of her clients were dealing with increased frustration, irritability, and/or feel unable to manage their emotions, often with medical issues that affect them cognitively or emotionally. Her training and treatment included clients with chronic illness, traumatic brain injury, cancer, M.S. and/or somatic illness.
At CBT Associates, Dr. Murray provides individual therapy for adults with sports performance issues, cognitive complaints, anxiety, and depression, as well as couples with interpersonal/relationship issues. While Dr. Murray tailors her approach based on her client’s needs, she primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and/or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Her overarching purpose is to help her clients overcome the obstacles that get in the way of their relationships and emotional functioning.
Dr. Murray is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and she is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and Human Performance at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
