Dr. Lianne Trachtenberg is a Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Psychosocial Oncology at Toronto General Hospital. She completed her PhD at the University of Toronto and her clinical internship at the University Health Network, which included rotations at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Toronto General Hospital. Prior to her internship, she trained in a number of well-respected clinical settings including the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Princess Margaret Prostate Cancer Rehabilitation Clinic, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, Southlake Regional Health Centre, and the OISE Psychology Clinic.
Dr. Trachtenberg believes in providing evidence-based treatment tailored to her client`s unique needs and goals. She has a compassionate and caring attitude that focuses on building upon her clients’ strengths, while empowering them to make meaningful change. At CBT Associates, Dr. Trachtenberg provides cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to adults with a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, eating disorders, relationship issues, and stress management. She also provides therapy to individuals experiencing challenges in adjusting to and coping with chronic illness and cancer. In addition to working from a CBT framework, she has experience with Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
Dr. Trachtenberg is a member of the Ontario Psychological Association, Canadian Association for Psychosocial Oncology, American Psychological Association and Canadian Association of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
