Andrea Rocha is a clinical psychology resident at CBT Associates, and is nearing the completion of her Doctor of Clinical Psychology (PsyD) degree through Medaille College in New York State. Andrea also holds undergraduate degrees in Fine Arts, English Literature, and Education. She has taught in both elementary school and university settings.
Andrea specializes in treating adults within a CBT approach. She values diversity, flexibility, empathy, compassion, and a collaborative relationship between client and therapist in order to meet treatment goals. She has primarily worked with adults with a variety of presenting concerns, including: anxiety disorders, depression, grief and loss, OCD, trauma, interpersonal/relationship concerns, adjustment disorder, stress management, and gender identity issues.
Andrea has received training in both individual and group therapy and has developed her clinical skills in both private practice and university counselling centre settings. Andrea considers herself to be a life long learner and engages in continuous self-reflection as well as ongoing personal and professional development.
