Amy Shannon received her MA in Clinical Psychology from York University where she is currently completing her PhD. She has completed clinical training at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (Integrated Day Treatment – Transitional Care Program and Women’s Trauma Stream), University Health Network (Eating Disorders Program at Toronto General Hospital and Bariatric Surgery Program at Toronto Western Hospital), and the York University Psychology Clinic.
Amy has received training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy. She strives to use her training in evidence-based approaches to therapy to collaboratively work with clients to meet their goals and create lasting change in their lives.
Amy provides assessment and individual treatment for adults with a range of challenges related to mood and anxiety. She also has a special interest in assisting clients with concerns related to eating and body image.
